# Set up welcome and leave messages with Muware

> Greet new members and say bye to people who leave with Muware. Pick a channel, write a plain or embed message, and toggle it on or off.

Muware can say hi when someone joins and bye when they leave. Pick a channel, write a message, turn it on. The message can be plain text or the [embed format](/embeds-and-buttons), and buttons work too.

## welcome

,welcome add <channel> <message>
,welcome enable
,welcome disable
,welcome variables
```

* `add` sets the channel and message.
* `enable` and `disable` turn it on and off.
* `variables` shows what you can put in the message.

## leave

```text theme={null}
,leave add <channel> <message>
,leave enable
,leave disable
,leave variables
```

Works exactly like welcome.

| `{member.count}` | How many members you have |
